Teaching & Volunteering in Classrooms
There are many opportunities for interested college students and community members to work and volunteer in our classrooms. All volunteers are welcomed and guided in their work with the children. Our lead teachers are skilled at providing age-appropriate activities and guidance to the children, as well as mentoring our volunteers, to ensure that they will learn lots about children and child development while playing in the classroom with the kids! The main thing we ask of our volunteers is that they have FUN. The hours are Thursday from 9-11:30am. College volunteers can get credit through the CCE (Center for Civic Engagement) on the WSU campus for the hours they work.
