PSILU -- Sign up now for Spring Semester!!!

Welcome to PS I Love You! We are a fun and dynamic parent support group that seeks to serve families in the Palouse area. Upon joining, participating families find friends, parenting support, and a fun loving community. Check out the basic information links to the right to find out more about how we are organized. If you are interested in joining PS I Love You, please note the "Contact Us" information below. If you would like to print out a registration brochure, click on the link at the top right hand side of the screen. If that link doesn't work for you, please contact one of our registrars who can email you a form and answer any questions about our registration procedures and/or waiting list.

For spring semester, our Tuesday group will begin meeting again on January 24th, and the Thursday group on January 26th.  Each group has their own individual blog so click on the links located on the right side of the screen to see what fun activities we have been doing.  There are still spots available in each group, so feel free to join us either Tuesday or Thursday. You are able to attend your first meeting free of charge to see how you like it, but please let the registrar know in advance so we will know how many additional children to expect.  We look forward to meeting you and your children!

Teaching & Volunteering in Classrooms

There are many opportunities for interested college students and community members to work and volunteer in our classrooms. All volunteers are welcomed and guided in their work with the children. Our lead teachers are skilled at providing age-appropriate activities and guidance to the children, as well as mentoring our volunteers, to ensure that they will learn lots about children and child development while playing in the classroom with the kids! The main thing we ask of our volunteers is that they have FUN. We have four different classrooms that volunteers can choose to work in: Infants, 1 year olds, 2-4 year olds, and 4-6 year olds. The hours are Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 9-11:30am. College volunteers can get credit through the CCE (Center for Civic Engagement) on the WSU campus for the hours they work.

The Structure

We provide an adult program that includes education, craft activities and social time. Teacher and volunteers provide a safe and loving place for your children to play and learn in age-appropriate classrooms. P.S. I Love You is organized by the participants for the participants. Therefore, everyone's participation is essential for the program's success. You are expected to remain on the church premises at all times during session.

Our Goal

P.S. I Love You is a ministry of the Simpson United Methodist Church. It focuses on strengthening caring relationships without an explicit focus on religion. P.S. I Love You is offered in hopes that the program might fulfill a need for friendship, support and renewal for you at a time when you may feel isolated from other adults. It provides parents education and fellowship with other parents of preschoolers. At the same time, your child(ren) have a safe, loving place to play and learn with qualified teachers.
